Imagine this: you’re on a hiking vacation; suddenly you’ve got an accident or your chronic illness came upon you or to make matter worse, you’re high up in the mountain where no land vehicle could come to an aid. We need to think of how are we going to get out of such dire situations. The answer is an air ambulance, which objective is to medically assist people in unreachable spots or give immediate transfer for certain patient who has less chance to be alive and needs some fast sturdy action. Air ambulance contains paramedic team consists of aircraft crew, paramedics, and also nurses, equipped with medical contraptions, to retrieve accident victims or patients from the incident place and deliver them to a hospital or such relevant facilities.

As for examples of the job description, pediatric carries out infant patient; respiratory therapist is prepared to deal with lungs trauma; cardiologist for heart attack occurrences; orthopedist to conduct musculoskeletal trauma; and neurologist to diagnose, treat, and handle patients with neurological disorders. The whole team will cooperate to deal with every term of circumstances.
Air Ambulance jobs require stamina and physical fitness. The qualification of the crew must be mentally stable, energetic, and alert, and able to handle critical or disturbing situations. The Ambulance crew must stay calm while working with victims in life-threatening and severe pain , as well as deal with traumatized patient and others who may been involved in disaster situation or an accident. The crew must put their best effort to save the life of the patient.
They serve people by giving the first aid to the needing patients until they can be transferred to a hospital to be properly treated further. Although there are limitations in the survival expeditions, they will give their best shot by doing every necessary means at their disposal, with such first rate aid equipment, such as ventilators, ECG, monitoring unit, CPR equipment and stretchers. Standard operation of air ambulance regulates all the rescuing action from the client’s call to the landing on the final destination.
